General Notes
Lubricate ALL threads! (oil threads M5 and less, grease threads M6 and larger)
Loctite rack & fender bolts and others as necessary.
Replace lower rack bolts that have 3mm or screwdriver head with 4mm allen or 8mm standard bolts
Make sure bars are level and brake levers are at -30 degrees to -45 degrees
Install a fork mounted reflector bracket or "Safety Bolt" on bikes with cantilevers!
Always mark customer's seat post and stem position

Torque to Specifications as you work:

Procedure


Remove and Grease Seatpost and Seat Bolt
Clean Chain with Chain Cleaner (Check Length and Wear)
Oil & Tighten Rear Derailleur Pulleys
Lube Chain
Clean Rims
True Wheels
InflateTires (install valve caps - no charge)
Remove Pedals, (clean pedal and crank threads)
Lubricate Pedals (flush with oil, if clipless then purge with grease)
Remove and Clean Right Crank and Cassette / Freewheel in Parts Washer
Add Grease to and Adjust Hubs
Install spoke protector if missing
Oil Freewheel Body (does not apply to cassette hubs)
Oil Quick Release Levers and Install Skewers with Grease
Resurface Brake Pads (use a file)
Clean Frame & Components thoroughly
Align Frame Dropouts
Align Rear Derailleur Hanger if neccessary - no extra charge
Adjust Bottom Bracket (check Shimano cartridge type for proper torque)
Lubricate All Pivots on Brakes, Derailleurs, Levers & Pedals (use Dri-Slide a.k.a. Bike-Aid)
Check Cable Housing and Cut to Ideal Length if needed
   (cross derailleur cable if possible)
   (replace non-lined housing with Teflon lined)
Lubricate All Cables (use Bike-Aid, NOT grease)
Adjust Brakes (set cantilever springs in center hole on brake boss) (install 2 donuts on rear brake cable)
Adjust Derailleurs
Tighten All Accessory Nuts & Bolts
Remove and Grease Stem Bolt & Wedge
Adjust Headset (replace any BB style lockring with spacers, tighten stem bolt first!)
Put a yellow ABR sticker on the seat tube just above the bottom bracket, and a RideYourBike.com protector on right chainstay (clean areas with alcohol first)
Clean and Align Reflectors: If there is and incomplete set, then complete it. If bike has no reflectors, then leave them off.
