Some of the best single track around is just 5 miles from West Seattle! It only takes about 45 minutes to get there by bike, and that includes the ferry ride!
Come join us for dirt rides most Sunday mornings to Vashon Island. Meet at the shop at 7:00 AM. We leave at 7:15 AM to catch the 7:45 AM ferry at the Fauntleroy Dock. We shoot for catching the 10:35 AM or 11:25 AM boat back because we open the shop at Noon. The total distance is usually 20 - 25 miles easy to moderate pace and we stop to regroup at intersections. We are doing this for fun! If you would like to try it on your own see below for a map or DirtWorld.com for a description.
We also know of some cool urban dirt loops in West Seattle and sometimes we ride there instead. Other places we like to ride are include, North SeaTac, South SeaTac (a.k.a. Des Moines Creek Park), Tapeworm (a.k.a. Phillip Arnold Park) and others. SCROLL DOWN FOR LOCATION MAPS
Vashon Trails Update November 2001:
Our group cleared all the downed (unrideable) trees on November 4th. The Blackberries were cleared in early October by the Horsey People on Vashon for their annual Poker Run. The trails are in great shape. The mud is not too deep yet. Most of these trails stay rideable all year. Some, like Techmo get pretty ugly and we avoid them. 3 dogs is AWESOME!

If you like road riding check out Pazzo Velo or Cascade Bicycle Club (206) 522-BIKE for a ride almost every day of the week. We keep the most current copy of the Cascade Courier at the shop. It has the ride calendar in it.
