Miho Sushi

Between 39th and 40th on Hawthorne
Evilmike - My favorite sushi place.

The Belmont Pub Crawl

'Start at the Basement Pub (actually just south of belmont on 12th SE), head to the Vern, up to Belmont Inn (3357 SE Belmont St) or Blue Moon (next door to each other, on the same block as Zupan's) following to the Triple Nickel (3646 SE Belmont St) and finally the HB (4534 SE Belmont).

Bagdad Theater

3702 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.
I second the Baghdad from Tobs. either for dinner or for pizza/beer movie.

Clinton Street Theater

2522 SE Clinton St.

Voodoo Donuts

Downtown in between Ankeny and Burnside on Second.
Late night hours only. Saturday night after 10pm is best, you can get warm maple bars with bacon. Also, glazed donuts with captain crunch on top. They don't sell the nyquil/sudafed donuts anymore, which is sad. It's actually in between the New Paris Theater and Berbati's Pan. It's easy to miss, though.

Dog House

Burnside at 28th
Lunch for hot dogs worth eating.

Ole Ole

Burnside & 20th
Cheap, super tasty mexican food.

Thai Peacock

One block south and around the corner for Powell's
Evilmike's favorite Thai place ever.

Everyday Music, Countermedia, Reading Frenzy

Walk up Burnside from Powell's
Countermedia - (vintage erotica, gay lit, books on fringe cinema, weird lit), Reading frenzy - (a 'zine newsstand)

Paradox Cafe

~33rd & Belmont

Zell's Cafe

13th & morrison

Grand Central Bakery

A cafe that doesn't suck, you might also look for a bread dumpster there.

Bread and Ink Cafe

3610 SE Hawthorne Blvd
Toby: for any meal.

Hawthorne Coffee Merchant

3564 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
Toby: for coffee and candy.

Le Bistro Montage
